Quiet interfaces
This is sample writing for layout review. Fictional craft notes — not a real publication.
Interfaces get loud when they try to prove they are finished. Extra borders, extra labels, extra motion. The work underneath has to compete with the frame.
A quieter surface is not empty. It is edited. It keeps the next action close and lets the rest recede. The test is simple: can someone find the thing they came for without being asked to admire the layout?
